Tricycle race to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier

Sept. 15, 2025:

Teams from area banks and credit unions will hop on child-size tricycles at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in Elmira, and find out who has the fastest feet in the financial sector.

Community Bank N.A. will host the 21st Annual Trike Race, a fundraiser to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier, at its 300 W. Water St. location in downtown Elmira.

The event is a relay race with teams of six adults riding 12-inch, child-size tricycles as fast as they can to win the coveted Trike Trophy.

First Heritage Federal Credit Union will defend its title as it rides against teams from Chemung Canal Trust Company, Corning Credit Union, ServU Federal Credit Union, and Community Bank.

Spectators are welcome for this fun – and fast – race, which will be held rain or shine.
