United Way of the Southern Tier Sponsors Diaper Drive

April 20, 2021:

United Way of the Southern Tier is partnering with two nonprofits in Chemung and Steuben counties for a diaper and baby needs drive just in time for Mother’s Day.

Diapers were in demand before the pandemic and families across our region are still in need. (Read more: “Millions couldn’t afford diapers before the pandemic. Now, diaper banks can’t keep up,” The Washington Post, March 1, 2021.)

Residents, businesses and organizations can help the Samaritan Center in Elmira and the Twin Tiers Baby Bank in Painted Post by purchasing the following items:

• Diapers (Sizes 3-7; major brands preferred)
• Pull-Ups (Sizes 2T and 3T)
• Baby Wipes
• New Sippy Cups
• Formula (specifically Enfamil Gentlease)
