Free children's bike safety rodeo August 2 at Tour de Keuka

July 22, 2025:

United Way of the Southern Tier, Corning Credit Union and Pedal for a Purpose will hold a free children’s Bike Safety Rodeo as part of the Tour de Keuka charity ride at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 2, at the Hammondsport Fire Station grounds.

Children will learn about basic bicycle safety rules and participate in a scavenger hunt. All participants must bring their own bicycle and wear a bike helmet.

All participants will be entered into a drawing to win prizes, including new bicycles.

Each participant is asked to bring a new, unopened hygiene item for United Way’s Back-to-School toiletries drive (i.e. toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, combs and brushes).

Registration is free and is requested in advance. Registration is limited to 60 participants.

Day-of registration will only be available as numbers allow.

Tour de Keuka, sponsored by Kennedy Valve, is an annual charity bike ride around Keuka Lake to benefit programs supported by United Way of the Southern Tier.

Riders come from across the United States to participate, riding distances of 45, 60 or 100 miles during the event. Each rider commits to raise at least $150 for United Way of the Southern Tier. For more information, visit tourdekeuka.org.
