Volunteer opportunities in resource development
Company Campaign Coordinators plan and run United Way campaigns in their workplaces. An ideal campaign runs in the late summer or early fall and takes no longer than a month. Successful coordinators are creative, enthusiastic and passionate about United Way. Job responsibilities include:
Organizing, kicking off, managing and wrapping up your campaign.
Recruiting and training co-workers to help with the campaign.
Setting and monitoring a challenging campaign goal.
Organizing United Way presentations to employees.
Answering employee questions about United Way Staff.
Asking co-workers to contribute to United Way.
Advertising campaign by posting campaign posters and goals.
Maintaining contact with United Way Staff throughout the campaign.
Collecting and tabulating employee pledge cards, and reporting accurate information to United Way.
