Volunteer opportunities in community impact

Impact Teams

Impact teams review and recommend which programs should receive United Way funding. There are five teams, each responsible for its own area of impact:

  • Children and youth
  • Economic self-sufficiency
  • Healthy communities
  • Senior independence
  • Strong families

Impact teams also monitor the programs and their outcomes to ensure that they are delivering their stated results. For a more detailed look at the funding process, click here.

Impact team members are expected to attend monthly meetings of approximately 90 minutes. Additional meetings will likely be scheduled during the investment process.

Community Solutions

The Community Solutions committee reviews the funding recommendations from each impact team and makes final funding recommendations to the Board of Directors. This committee also monitors trends and needs in the community, and identifies areas for additional investment.

The Community Solutions committee meets monthly; meetings generally last 90 minutes.
