Use 2-1-1 Give Help to assist with flood relief

United Way of the Southern Tier and the Institute for Human Services in Bath are partnering with United Way of Broome County to offer a resource for individuals who want to assist with flooding relief and recovery efforts in Broome and Tioga counties. 2-1-1 HELPLINE Give Help is the connection for individuals looking to donate their time, goods or services.

Those interested in volunteering should visit www.211helpline.org and click on the "Give Help" button. From there, individuals can register to become a disaster volunteer and search for active volunteer projects. United Way will keep registered individuals informed of current recovery projects in the community.

"As a regional partner with United Way of Broome County, we are very pleased to lend our support by making this online portal available to support the relief and recovery process in the Southern Tier," said Patrick Rogers from the Institute for Human Services.

2-1-1 HELPLINE is also available 24 hours a day for individuals seeking help. The helpline can be reached by dialing 211 or (800) 346-2211.
