The United Way of the Southern Tier added new Board members

CORNING, NY, May 9, 2008 – The United Way of the Southern Tier is proud to announce that 11 new members recently joined its board of directors.  These additions will contribute to the diversity and expertise of the not-for-profit’s leadership, which now includes 32 members.

 

New Members:

  • Maria Ball, of Corning, is employee representative for Wegmans Food Markets in Corning.
  • Dave Chester, of Corning, is director of Operations & Finance, Science & Technology for Corning Incorporated.
  • Mark S. Clark, of Elmira, is division vice president, Business Unit IT  for Corning Incorporated.
  • Fred Farley, of Elmira, is vice president and COO for Arnot Ogden Medical Center.
  • Joseph Hochreiter, of Elmira, is deputy superintendent of schools for the Elmira City School District.
  • Mary E. LaRowe, of Hornell, is president and CEO of St. James Mercy Health System.
  • Dr. Ralph Marino, Jr., of Horseheads, is superintendent of schools for the Horseheads Central School District.
  • Rebecca Price, of Painted Post, is on the Executive Board for United Steelworkers Local 1000.
  • Matthew Shick, of Hornell, is the Director of Human Resources for Alstom Transportation.
  • Peter Wallin, of Elmira, is president of Wallin Insurance Agency.
  • Jim Watson, of Painted Post, is chief executive officer for Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital.
