In numerous community surveys over the years, people's inability to access services has been indentified as a major challenge in the Southern Tier.  Often people do not know where to turn for help, or have difficulty traveling to multiple sites to receive needed services.

 

United Way of the Southern Tier initiated Community Care Centers to improve access to health and human services.  These "one-stop" locations provide free healthcare for under-insured and uninsured clients and house multiple service agencies.

 

There are currently four locations within Chemung and Steuben Counties.
